Inform yourself about the VAD law

Since the early 1980s the principal objective of Dying with Dignity WA was to advocate for enhanced choice at the end of life, and to work for the successful passage through the WA Parliament of safe and workable voluntary assisted dying legislation. This objective was achieved in December 2019 when the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2019 passed into law and became fully effective on 1 July 2021. The law will be reviewed in mid 2023.
